A salon booking page should answer the questions a client would otherwise send in a message: which treatments are available, what they cost, who provides them and when they can book. Turn your treatment menu into realistic appointments
List treatments separately when they need different amounts of time. A manicure, a removal appointment and a combined treatment should not all use the same duration by default. Include preparation and cleanup in the service duration so the calendar reserves enough time. Bookio currently uses fixed durations; it does not model processing stages, shared equipment or treatment rooms separately. Use Omani rials and your actual working hours
Choose OMR for your prices and Asia/Muscat as your business timezone. Enter your opening days and hours, then check each employee's availability. An employee's schedule must fit inside the business opening hours. Add date-based time off before sharing the booking link, and check the public calendar to confirm that unavailable dates are blocked. Split shifts are not supported yet, so do not assume a lunch break is automatically excluded from a continuous working day.
Give each professional the right services
An owner can create team profiles, assign services and invite employees to their own accounts. Assign a treatment only to the people who provide it. Bookio checks appointment overlaps per professional, so two different employees can receive bookings at the same time. Owners can see their business's appointments; active employees see their own assigned appointments. A room or machine shared between employees still needs a separate operational check.
Keep the booking form short and useful
Use custom questions for practical preparation, such as whether a client needs polish removal. Keep optional preferences optional, and avoid collecting medical records or other sensitive information in a general booking form. Add your address and a recognizable logo or brand color. After booking, clients receive an on-screen confirmation and a private link they can save. Do not promise an email or WhatsApp reminder unless that delivery feature is actually enabled for your business.
